Ely-Curtiss Aerial Exhibitions, LLC is actively seeking sponsors who would benefit from participating in one or all of the 8-10 Centennial of Naval Aviation Tier One Events on our 2011 Air Show Schedule. The crew is open to many sponsorship options. We estimate nearly 800,000 people will attend our air shows in 2011. Most will stop to see the only flying example of the aircraft used by Eugene B Ely to make the first shipboard landing in history on 18 January 1911.
If you or your corporation are interested in sponsoring this adventure, contact us at curtiss@shentel.net
Major Corporate Sponsors:
Sponsored in part by: Wyle Aerospace
National Naval Aviation Museum Foundation
Systems Support Sponsors:
Captain Bob Watts provided magnificent blue and gold “FLY NAVY” pennants.
Wicks Aircraft provided: Aircraft Spruce and Plywood, Aeroshell W100 Oil, and a “SPOT” Tracking Device so our Fans can follow the Curtiss Odyssey online.
Navy League Williamsburg-Yorktown Chapter – Sponsors of our presentation at Williamsburg-Jamestown Airport on 19 March 2011.
Aircraft Spruce and Specialty provided: a Garmin Aera GPS, the latest in touch screen GPS NAV. This simplified functionality is particularly important with the 1911 Curtiss Pusher because it takes both hands on the wheel to fly this baby most of the time. We consider this an essential safety item as we contemplate flying over the Alleghanies enroute to Thunder over Michigan and AirVenture 2011.
Long Island Council of the Navy League (Tom Matteo) – provided financial support for our visit to NAS Floyd Bennett Field, Brooklyn, NY in conjunction with NYC Fleet Week activities.
Captain John Corradi presented us with a tremendous donation towards fuel and expenses – something we are much in need of and value highly. Burro and sincerest thanks!
